Liverpool Struggles at Reading

Liverpool’s season suffered another stutter as it was held to a 1-1 draw at Reading in the third round of the F.A. Cup on Saturday. Liverpool fell behind in the 24th minute when Simon Church scored from barely a yard out on a cross from Grzegorz Rasiak.

In other games, Portsmouth, the 2008 F.A. Cup winner, had to rally to salvage a 1-1 draw at home to Coventry City. And Bolton, which is under threat of relegation, endured a goalless first half before beating Lincoln, 90th out of England’s 92 league clubs, 4-0.
